So it can be easy for them to snap, a translator to them is a faceless conduit they can turn their frustrations towards when they feel powerless. I have a similiar job that can draw peoples ire. True lol was thinking about how a guy started from VHS fansubbing to forming his own company and subbing it professional and then became a big anime company in the US, ironically he after fansubbers with cease and desist letters, when he himself started from fansubbing.

Poetries and idioms are fine, since there are a lot of sites that discusses them, and I am more of a context translator rather than a literal one

sometimes i wish translations could have both literal and meaning translantions all the time. one line for literal, one line to make sense of it. this is accomplished in dubs with subs, because the subs tell more literal usually, and the voice acting tries to make sense more... (not applicable whent he subs match the dubs though)

Sometimes I wonder how long it will take progress this story past mass murder. The base plot is good the trouble is now we have a complex plot spread over too many short episodes which is a shame

Sadly mass murder is the bread and butter of this series :) Except for some moments where Tan Yun services his wives and certain intrigues and and events that takes a breather from Tan Yun's killings, but it will go back to killing again.

And yes there are complex plot spread around, also hidden ones that will come up when the identities of some of his wives are revealed sadly with first time authors that are also unknown or unpopular, they are often given the 10 minutes episodes, if they were more famous or their novels are popular then they get 25 minutes ones. The novel isnt that great, but it isnt bad either lol

The only hint I got is from their weibo account which said "see you next round" but it doesnt really say anything, apart from that I havent seen or read anything that would indicate that a second season is being developed.

Personally I feel there will be, and given the amount on comments on their weibo and bilbili streaming I think they might adjust how they will tackle the second season, since a lot of people are unhappy with the final episode (there were some heavily implied threats to the director's life as well)
